In order to keep track of the time lapses that we have to film, I have created a time lapse schedule or log sheet, including all the desired time lapses that we wish to film. Additionally, the schedule includes the time of day that we wish to film the time lapse. So, in essence, if we want a sunset time lapse, we will arrive either during day time, or the beginning of sunset, and set the Go Pro to take images until night time.
Some of the time lapses need to be filmed prior to Christmas, as they give away that it is Christmas time, and is a bonus for the storytelling of the music video. However, there are also some time lapses that can be filmed at any date. When deciding to film a time lapse, we will check the weather forecast, to ensure that we can film the time lapse in our desired weather conditions: either to aid with the storytelling of our music video, to match the weather of the footage that we have already filmed, or because we feel that a certain weather condition would allow for a more aesthetically pleasing time lapse.
