Below is the Shooting Plan or shot description I directed along with my group, so that we can be familiar with the shots that we were going to film, on the day of filming the opening. Each member of my group directed their own chunk of shots, meaning we all got to direct a fair share of the sequence.

 

 

START

SCENE 1:

• Following shots Directed by. Mark (Me)

 

1. This pan shot is used to introduce the alleyway. It features focusing on the graffiti on the wall and pans for effect to show the rest of the alleyway.

 

2. This bird’s eye view will consist of climbing up a lamppost/wall and the camera facing straight down. After a few seconds, Melina walks up from the start of the alleyway. This is when her character is introduced in the script and she is talking on the phone to ‘Ethan’.

 

3. This properly introduces the character of Melina as she is talking on the phone. It is almost a handheld shot and the camera moves off with her.

 

4. This shot starts off with a P.O.V. shot with her walking towards them. Then the camera will ‘Dolly’ back exposing two heads which are the two Turkish thugs she is oblivious to.

 

5. Melina is still oblivious to the thugs, but the over the shoulder view emphasises their position.

 

6. This shot then shows a low angle shows the thugs standing, while Melina is still approaching them.

 

7. This shot shows the little distance left between Melina and the thugs, and the tension building.

 

8. This shot shows Melina stopping to one of the thugs saying something along the lines of, ‘kiz (translates to girl), you’re coming with us’

 

9. This is the following shot to the thugs encountering with Melina. This shot will be handheld, and shows the struggle between Melina and the thugs.

 

 

• Following shots Directed by. Trenay

 

10. This shot shows one of the thugs restraining Melina, while the first thug takes the phone from Melina.

 

11. This is a match on-action close up which shows the first thug saying a message to Ethan and then hanging up, Melina is still struggling with the second thug off screen.

 

12. This extreme close up shows the first thug hanging up on Melina’s phone, pressing the ‘End Call’ button.

 

13. This next shot is an over the shoulder view of the Turkish thug's right side shoulder, showing Melina, as she cries for help.

 

14. This is the following two shot, from over Turkish thug 2's shoulder, showing the first thug saying something like, "He will come, stop worrying"

 

15. This goes back to the previous shot reverse shot, showing Melina resist and shout for help.

 

16. Once more to the first shot reverse shot, showing the first Turkish thug, and he says something along the lines of, "Let's go, and wait for him"

 

17. This is a handheld long shot, showing the thugs walking out of frame in the direction of the camera, with Turkish thug 1, walking left of the camera, and Turkish thug 2 with Melina, walking to the right side of it. This shot will then fade out to black, opening the second scene.

 

 

SCENE 2: 

• Following shots Directed by. Paige

 

18. This shot shows the two Turkish thugs standing in a new location with Melina.

 

19. This shot from behind all, showing Ethan approaching.

 

20. This Is a handheld shot showing Ethan getting closer to the thugs while saying, "Catch", he then throws he duffel bag to Turkish thug 1.

 

21.This shot is from over Ethan's right shoulder shows the bag thrown, and Unal preparing to catch it.

 

22. This shot shows a low angle shot from the corner, panning with the motion of the bag towards Turkish thug 1.

 

23. This handheld shot shows Turkish tug 1 catching the bag that Ethan has thrown.

 

24. This shot shows Ethan running towards Turkish thug 2, and then reaching out.

 

25. This shot shows a close up of the gun pointed at Melina's head, and Ethan grabbing it, and slowly turning it left.

 

26. This shot shows Ethan fighting over the gun with Turkish thug 2. Turkish thug 1 shouts out there is nothing in the bag.

 

 

• Following shots Directed by. Amid

 

27. This shot shows Ethan and Turkish thug 2 still fighting over the pistol.

 

28. This shot shows Ethan's shoulder budging into Turkish thug, making him react like he is winded.

 

29. This shot shows the gun accidentally firing, pointing down.

 

30. This shot shows Turkish thug 1 getting shot in the leg, and falling towards the ground.

 

31. This shot shows Ethan getting the gun from Turkish thug 2.

 

32. This shot shows both Turkish thugs on the ground and Ethan running out of shot.

 

33. This shot shows Ethan running to Melina, and both of them running out of the alleyway.

 

34. This shot shows both Turkish thugs on the ground, as if injured, and then Turkish thug 1, getting his phone out and calling his boss, saying something along the lines of, "They have escaped" This is the last shot in the sequence, where the title, 'Ethan Steal' appears.
