Animatic
Using the starboards, I put together with my production group, as well as the set & character images I created, using an iPad app called Storyboard, (images can be seen below), I have put together three versions of the animatic, for the 'Ethan Steal' film opening. The first animatic video was created with the storyboards which Amid drew together, as seen in the Storyboarding page. The second animatic video was created with the set & characters images, I created, (below the storyboard animatic video). Lastly, the third video shows both of the animatic videos, side by side, and in split screen, so the narrative of the film opening is made even clearer. The point of making the animatic is so I and the rest of my group can get an idea of how the final sequence should look, however in saying that, we are not restricted to follow the animatic exactly how it is. If during the development of the project, or during editing, we present more effective or interesting ways of displaying the narrative of the film opening, those changes can, and should be made.

This pan shot is used to introduce the alleyway. It features focusing on the graffiti on the wall and pans for effect to show the rest of the alleyway.

This bird’s eye view will consist of climbing up a lamppost/wall and the camera facing straight down. After a few seconds, Melina walks up from the start of the alleyway. This is when her character is introduced in the script and she is talking on the phone to Ethan.

This shot shows both Turkish thugs on the ground, as if injured, and then Turkish thug 1, getting his phone out and calling his boss, saying something along the lines of, "They have escaped" This is the last shot in the sequence, where the title, 'Ethan Steal' appears.
