Font Design

The production company title and the ‘Ethan Steal’ film title were edited together by Amid. The two templates we bought to edit, can be seen below, and underneath that are screenshots associated with Amid’s editing of the titles.

Additionally, I and my group needed a font to use for titles that were going to appear throughout the opening sequence, indicating details such as cast and crew names. So that I could find the most appropriate title font, I cycled through the installed fonts on my computer, and I found one which I thought conveyed the action and espionage genre quite well. The approximate font details for the film opening are, and an example can be seen on the right side of the details:

  • Font Name: Agency FB

  • Size: Approx.. 26

  • Colour: White

  • Bold: Yes

  • Shadow: No (Only if title is impaired by footage)

  • Border: No (Only if title is impaired by footage)

Below this stretch of text, are some screenshots with titles put into the opening. However, it is important to note, that these titles are only the planned titles to appear throughout the sequence, and that they could change if the information displayed is incorrect, or a better position for that title is found elsewhere in the sequence. This is almost like a storyboard for titles, following on from both of the animatic videos which I have created. Additionally, the font seen in the screenshots below is the font which I will be using during editing, when placing the titles throughout the film opening sequence.
